Critical Commentary Assignment Custom Essay

This is a somewhat informal writing assignment. Your task is to find a current issue in the business world and apply it to one (or more) of the texts that we are reading. There are many ways to fulfill this task. For example, a news article or video might mention something about the debt that students face. You could then show the connection between this article and the control mechanisms that Nietzsche describes in the Genealogy of Morals. The central point is that you draw connections and tell your reader what spawned your understanding of the connections, or what aroused your imagination when you took up this issue. This means that you should briefly discuss some of the possible implications that emerge when theory and your �real world� business practice are connected. If it is the case that, for example, the practices of major corporations increasingly demand unpaid internships for students in order to cultivate what Foucault calls their �human capital,� you should discuss the manner in which students can, on ethical grounds, either resist or affirm this common business practice.

The commentary should be 1 to 2 pages in length, in Times New Roman, and double spaced. You are not required to quote passages from the text, but doing so might be helpful for explaining the ethico-political problematic with which you are grappling.
