For this assignment you will be drafting a short essay.
This essay should discuss at least three key points of distinction between civil and criminal cases. One key point should be the parties and their roles in the cases. Another great point of distinction is the level of proof required in a criminal case compared to that required in a civil case. There are constitutional implications that are specifically designed to protect one in criminal proceedings that do not apply in a similar civil case.
