Legislative Request The project you created has significance for your program and college. Because of this, the college president has asked you to work with the legislative representatives of the university in drafting a legislative request to create a line-item that would allow the project to receive continued funding from the state. To successfully complete this assignment: Use the Legislative Request Worksheet, linked in the Resources section, to draft your request. Create a liaison with at least one professional organization that could be used to support the need for this funding. Justify the role of the professional organization. Create a one-page, very succinct summary of the need and the legislative request amount. Create an appendix of all information that can be attached to the request to further support it. Include a unique artifact that supports the grant (such as a letter of support from an appropriate individual or organization, an illustration of some sort, or another appropriate artifact). Written Communication Guidelines Written communication: Written communication is free of errors that detract from the overall message. APA formatting: Resources and citations are formatted according to APA sixth edition style and formatting. Be sure to write in third person to receive credit for APA writing. Number of resources: Minimum of 5–7 peer-reviewed and evidence-based resources. (One must be from the Capella University Library or another reputable source.)
