• Discussed which studies were considered stronger.
• Identified the weaknesses and/or gaps found in the literature.
• Evaluated and synthesized the literature you chose.
• Begin with an introduction and end with a summary.
• You are writing to educate your audience. Who is your audience for this assignment? How much does your audience know about your research topic?
• You are trying to convince your audience you are competent as a researcher dealing with your topic. You do this by integrating and evaluating the literature, by examining the patterns existing among the articles, and by discussing the studies you considered to be stronger.
• You will identify the weaknesses and/or gaps you found in the literature. A weakness or a gap may be small, for example, a certain population has not yet been researched for your topic.
• Give credit for direct quotes and ideas not original to you. Be overly cautious to avoid plagiarism.
• Many writers of literature reviews concentrate on the body of their literature review first, and then write the introduction and the summary near the end of their writing.

I am including the articles for the literature review that are required for my topic. My topic is as follow: “A study of the perceptions of female leaders vs. male leader’s qualifications, leadership styles, and the effectiveness within their organization”.
