Internationally, MTR also operates the London Overground commuter rail service in partnership with Germany’s Deutsche Bahn and, in 2009, it won the contract to operate the Stockholm Metro rail network
in Sweden. MTR is also involved in a wide range of other ‘non-railway’ business activities, including the development of residential and commercial projects, as well as property leasing. The company also
