– Use some ACADEMIC THEORIES to express, validate / justify your views, e.g. Charles Handy 4 factor model based on culture, you could also use Geert Hofstede’s 5 dimension model based on culture.
You are expected to also carry out your own research to enhance your answer.

Post having completed the afore mentioned questions, you will be in a position to put forth your view on the impact that organizational structure and culture have on performance, bringing depth to your
assignment of these notions. There is some information that will help you articulate a partial answer in the EDECEL book and some online articles. You also need to carry out your own research.

This question is based on Perception and personality therefore explain initially what they are, and how differing personalities in an organization could impact it. You could use Myerrs Briggs personality test to
gain an idea of some types with varying characteristics which would have an impact on the way people behave. Please, once again carry out independent research to help you further your answers.
Look at the Nomothetic and Idiographic concepts.

This question asks you to look at the various leadership styles and their effectiveness using possibly a few organisations to express your answer. The following are a few non-exhaustive examples, not limiting to:

Please explain how different theories of management influence the practice of management. Here you would initially make mention of all the theories which we went through in class i.e. Classical, Neo-Classical,
Scientific etc, etc. Understand the characteristics and relate it to how organisations should be managed. You could give a brief about effective management and take that approach, in your hands how you
approach it. These are just quick suggestions which you have asked me for.

brief overview of differing leaderships styles and evaluate the effect on employee motivation if these leadership styles were to be adopted.
PS…Think about Autocratic leadership style, what type of characteristics would that have and think carefully about what type of effect that would have on employee motivation. Please use academic

This questions requires you to take note of duties that managers have to carry out, thereafter write about the different Motivation theories that we went through in class i.e. Maslows, Herzberg, X/Y theory,
Vrooms expectation explaining how these theories can assist in motivating employees.
Thereafter Identify the theory you believe Hogan used in Fancy Footwear and give your own suggestion as to which theory you may apply to motivate the staff at Fancy Footwear, backing up your answer.
