There is a little doubt that our planet is warming day after day. Over the last century the temperature has risen by around one degree Fahrenheit. The problem is that the temperature is keeping rises more and more. We have to do something to help our planet.
The United Nations panel on climate change projects that the temperature will rises 3-10 degrees by the century’s end. Then the polar caps will be melted. If the ice caps melt a lot of our countries will be under water. Great and huge building will be under water and even big cities such as New York.
So now we know what some of the causes are for global warming, how can we as individuals do our part to help save the planet?
The answer is very simple you don’t have to do hard work to save it, It is simpler than you may think.
Firstly, plant a tree it is very easy job to do. You can join a group of tree plant Company or any other organizations for this job. When trees grow they will help the planet to become cooler. We need the trees to cool our planet and nowadays they are chopping them to create roads and homes.
Something else that is very easy also and every person can do it is walking instead of taking car will help reduce pollution. As well as stopping pollution, you are giving your self an exercise, something important for your body and health. So the next time when you get into your car or motorcycle remember that you can do something helpful and ask yourself this question do I have to use my car or I can walk?
Something that we have to use this season is the heater because it’s very cold outside but we can put too much layer and then not using the heater and feel warmer. The extra heat produced by our homes also affects the planet so wearing more layers is more helpful why not doing it!
Try to buy your fruits and vegetables from local supplier and try not to use imported goods because the more food that we import the more pollution will effect our environment.
Keeping to the speed limit can also help the environment. The more you speed the more petrol you are going to use, making the pollution higher and higher.
Try to use solar energy after all it is free you only have to buy the equipment. You can get your heater and hot water from the sun also you can generate electricity.
Recycle, reuse and reduce don’t buy stuff that you will not use reuse whatever you can, like paper and containers, and recycle what you cannot reuse. It is really very simple.
Finally try turning off unused sources of power like: television, heater and microwave it will help the environment, as well as save you money.
If everyone tried to do these rules we will do something very helpful to our planet. So please take into consideration what I have said, and try to do your best. After all, it will be our next generation that will feel the effects.
