The assignment is to select a “SUCCESSFUL INDUSTRY” in Saudi Arabia and accordingly study the following, in order to critically consider and explain:
1) The domestic factor conditions of that industry. (20 marks; 600 words)
2) The Domestic Demand Conditions of the industry. (20 marks; 600 words)
3) The Related and Supporting Industries. (20 marks; 600 words)
4) Specific local characteristics about firms and the nature of competition in your chosen industry, including Strategy, Structure, and Rivalry. (20 marks; 600 words)
5) The role and/or importance of the government in supporting this industry? Support your answer with examples. (15 marks; 500 words)
What changes to current government support, if any, would you recommend could be adopted? (5 marks; 100 words)

Course material: Readings for Block 3; Reading 12.
