Preparation
In preparation for your research, select an individual currently in a leadership position. The person must be responsible in some capacity for other employees, and the person must be an individual that can be
researched.
Overview
In your overview of the leader, include:
1. Name and title of the leader (pick one).
2. His or her specific role or position and responsibilities.
3. The name, industry and description of the organization, including the culture of the organization.
4. The length of time the leader has been in his or her current position.
5. A brief history of the leader’s background and career path to his or her present day leadership position.
Analysis
Your analysis should include the following:
1. Your description, assessment and analysis of the person’s leadership style. Be sure to provide specific examples.
2. Identify three significant challenges they faced as a leader.
3. Identify their greatest achievement, to date, as a leader.
4. Apply and correctly cite a minimum of three leadership concepts from the course.
5. Use these concepts to help you describe this person’s leadership style and determine what makes it effective or ineffective.
6. What did you learn about leadership from this research?
Writing the Final Paper
The paper must be nine full pages in length (excluding the title and reference pages). Must include an introduction and conclusion paragraph. The paper must be formatted according to APA style and it must
include citations from the references attached. You may use additional references but those mentioned below must be utilized in the text. Graduate level writing required. Thank you.
1. Must begin with an introductory paragraph that has a succinct thesis statement.
2. Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
3. Must end with a conclusion that reaffirms your thesis.
